Spring

Springtime is ideal for watching native birds return home from their winter flight down south. Everything that went to sleep for the winter is starting to wake up, too. If you're close enough to a small body of water and can stand a little bit of a chilly breeze, crack your window open slightly at night so you can hear the spring peepers (1000s of tiny frogs) serenade you to sleep!

Summer

Summer is a great time to visit Land O'Lakes with your family! The weather is warm and comfortable, you may even want to go camping (Be sure to pack plenty of bug spray!)

Take a scenic hike or bike ride along one of many paved and non-paved trails. Maps and additional information available at Wilderness Lakes Trails.

Of course, fishing is a favorite past time for both tourists and locals. With dozens of beautiful lakes with public boat launches to choose from, the hardest part will be choosing your favorite spot! Don't forget your fishing license, they're available at several businesses throughout the town!

There are also many beautiful beaches in the area for swimming, water skiing, and jet skiing. Pack a picnic lunch and rent a pontoon boat with your family to launch off at Bent's Camp onto Mamie Lake for a relaxing tour of the Cisco chain of lakes, which passes through both Wisconsin and Michigan.

The fall is an exciting time for game hunting enthusiasts. Various deer hunting seasons open between September and December. Whether you enjoy using a bow or a rifle, be sure to check out the Wisconsin DNR's website for dates and license information before planning your hunting trip.

If hunting isn't your thing, it's worth it to stop by and admire the beautiful colors. The crisp, cool fall weather is ideal for taking hikes through the woods. Be sure to bring your camera!
